Life

Never in a light-year,
Would I have thought,
That this would be.
I guess life is like that though,
You never know what might be,
Or what will be.
No matter how much you plan,
How much you prepare,
You're never ready.
All you can do is hope and pray
That things go the way,
You want and plan.
Mostly though,
Unless you're one of the lucky few,
They never do.
Sometimes,
Though it didn't go as planned,
You get something better,
Then you could have ever imagined.
In those cases,
You just know,
That no matter what goes wrong,
Everything happens for a reason.
